DAVAI is a study app and website for IB Diploma and IELTS students, made by David Salahov in Baku, Azerbaijan. Contact: davai.salahov@gmail.com
The DAVAI app saves your study data in your device's storage (on the phone or in the browser), not on our servers:
Deleting the app or clearing your browser data deletes it.
To use the AI you sign in with your email address. We send you a one-time sign-in code by email (no password). We keep your email address and a user ID so you can log in, and so your daily question limit follows your account.
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Delete account. This removes your email and account from our system.
Services used: Supabase (accounts) and Resend (sends the sign-in email).
When you ask the AI something (in the app or in the assistant on this website), your question, and a photo if you attach one, goes to DAVAI's server and then to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude AI, to write the answer. DAVAI does not save your questions or answers on its server. Anthropic handles them under its own privacy policy.
To stop abuse, the server counts how many questions each device or account asks per day. These counts are kept in memory and cleared within 24 hours.
Please don't type passwords or private personal information into the chat.
If you connect your school calendar (for example ManageBac), our server opens the calendar link once, reads the deadlines and sends them to your app. We do not store or log the link.
If you send a message with the contact form, it goes through Formspree to David's email, only so he can reply. If you buy Pro, your email is used to send you your Pro key. We don't add you to mailing lists.
No advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no analytics that follow you. Videos on the Podcasts page play through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
DAVAI is made for students aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we will delete it.
DAVAI explains criteria, gives feedback and helps you plan. It does not write essays or coursework for students. Handing in AI-written work breaks IB and school academic honesty rules.
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page.
